Terms and Conditions

Ordering from this website confirms acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

1. Ordering is completed via secure on-line shopping cart system. If you would like to have something special custom made, are ordering from countries outside Australia, or you prefer not to use the shopping cart facility,  details should be submitted on the 'contact us' form, or emailed to info@alyssumjewellery.com.au. There is no extra charge for having something commissioned. If you are ordering pearls that are not in stock you can calculate the cost in advance using the formulas shown on the "custom made" sub page. All prices will be confirmed with you before your request is processed.
2. When ordering through the shopping cart facility, upon checkout you will be redirected to the Paypal website, where you can choose to pay by credit card or bank transfer. The amount shown on the screen is the total you will pay; there are no hidden fees or costs. For custom made orders, you can choose to pay using Paypal, by direct bank transfer, or by cheque (credit card payments only possible through Paypal). Orders are dispatched when payments have cleared.
3. Orders totalling over $50 include free delivery within Australia. For orders totalling $49.99 and under we charge a standard flat fee of $8 within Australia, regardless of the size of your order. Postage outside of Australia is charged at the following rates:
   • New Zealand - $15.00 AUD
   • Asia Pacific - $18.00 AUD
   • USA / Canada / Middle East - $20.00 AUD
   • Rest of World - $23.00 AUD
4. If in stock all items are posted the same day payment has cleared, or on the next available business day. For special requests you will be advised of manufacturing time when you order (typically no longer than 3 weeks).
5. We make every effort to ensure that if an item is advertised it will be in stock. However, in times of high demand, some items may temporarily sell out before we have had opportunity to remove them from the website. If this is the case and you have ordered something out of stock we will contact you immediately to discuss your options as set out below: 
   1. You can choose to have an immediate refund on out of stock items.
   2. We will advise you of an anticipated time for items to be back in stock and you can choose to wait until that time, in which case we shall include, at our discretion, a small gift in recompense.
   3. Where only part of your order is out of stock, you can elect to have the in stock items sent in advance, with the out of stock items following when available, with the second postage covered by us.
   4. Where only part of your order is out of stock, you can elect to wait until all items are available to be sent together, whereby we shall include, at our discretion, a small gift in recompense.
6. Everything is posted in an Australia Post approved padded bag or box. Every care is taken to ensure packaging is secure and your goods will arrive undamaged.
7. Statutory rights apply to all purchases; you are entitled to a refund if goods are faulty, or do not match the description given. You are not entitled to a refund if you simply change your mind. Please refer to www.australia.gov.au for your legal rights. If you have made a mistake when ordering and would like to change your purchase please contact us. Some circumstances may allow for us to go beyond our legal obligations in ensuring that you get the product that you really want. After all, customer service is of paramount importance to us and we value your return business.
8. Orders are accepted from countries outside Australia. You will need to order via the 'contact us' form (quoting the item code) as our payment page is not set up for international orders. Payment must be made by Paypal, which will convert the AUD price to your currency. Your own bank or credit card supplier may charge you a fee for the currency conversion, but we do not. Postage is charged as a single flat fee, regardless of size of order, according to your area as stated previously in item 3.
